district-director-d102-dr-yvonne-leongDear Members of District 102,

Term 2019-2020 started 2 weeks ago. Have you started planning for the new term? What are your learning goals this term, for yourself and for your club?

Congratulations to all our members and leaders of District 102. You did a marvellous job to bring the district to Distinguished District status for term 2018-2019.

This is the result of the tenacity of all members and district leaders. With their never-give-up attitude to strive even harder at the last minute for this amazing achievement. Job well done, keep it up!

Past learning coupled with our continuous improvement mindset, I am sure we can set a higher goal for term 2019-2020. Yes, the district plans for all the clubs to achieve Distinguished Club status and above. Are you game for these?

To support you to achieve this, we have planned a series of How-To workshops for you. They are to improve clubs’ publicity, tools to increase memberships and training members to becoming competent leader, coach, mentor and sponsor. Stay tuned for more details!

I would like to invite you to join me on the journey where we “Aspire to Excel”. Excel in our speeches, excel to support our peers and excel in attaining club goals. This term, we have a new recognition, the Diamond Club Award, for clubs who excel in both the DCP and our District 102 way. Are you ready to excel?

My team and I are ready to support you on this journey. Please reach out to us should you have queries while planning to be a Distinguished Club and above. I look forward to working with you this term.

All the very best to you and Happy Toastmastering!

Dr. Yvonne Leong, DTM
